Basically, Penn State doesn't want to keep playing it. James Franklin doesn't like the high profile it gets in the state, and he doesn't want to play it. They're using the excuse of how the CFP committee makes its selections as an excuse. If they have figured out how the committee makes its selections, they'll be the first. This is another reason why it needs to get to Conference Champions only.

So, Pitt should move on and get WVU back on the schedule annually over Thanksgiving. The Big Ten won't let Penn State play on that weekend out of conference anyway. It loses luster being in September anyway. I think WVU will play it on Thanksgiving, and if they build up that rivalry again, then Pitt should push for WVU to be a part of the ACC when they can.
